  14. How do I access my account?
    You can access your account online by logging on to eBroker site. While signing in for the first time, please put in your username and password, which has been emailed to your registered personal email account.

  15. How do I fund my account?
    You do not need to maintain a minimum balance in your share investment account. You need to deposit money in your share investment account in order to increase your purchase power.

  16. How do I place an order?
    You can place an order to buy or sell by using the "Trading Console", located under the "Trading" feature on the main page. On the bottom right of the page, you will see the "Order Entry/Maintenance" section. Here you can place the orders. When placing an order, you should fill the following:
    • Order type (Buy or Sell)
    • Limit order
    • Symbol
    • Quantity
    • Price
    • Password


    After filling out the order, you will be asked to confirm the order before it is submitted for trade. Once submitted, the system will validate the necessary balances in your account (i.e. the cash balance for buy orders and stock
    availability for sell orders) and then place the order on the market. In case either the cash balance is insufficient or the stock for sale is not available, the system will display the appropriate error message and the order will stop. As soon as a valid order has been submitted, the order details will be shown on the left of the "Order Entry/ Maintenance" section, under the heading of "Outstanding
    Orders".

  17. How do I change/cancel an order?
    You can change or cancel an order anytime.
    Canceling orders:
    • Order details are shown on the left of the "Order Entry/Maintenance" section, under the heading of "Outstanding Orders".
    • Next to the order number are two symbols, and .
    • Click on next to the order you wish to cancel.
    • Under "Order Entry/Maintenance", a new option will show to cancel the order.
    • Re-enter your password; click on delete and the order will be cancelled.

    Changing orders:
    • Click on symbol next to the order you wish to modify.
    • Under "Order Entry/Maintenance", a new option will show to modify the order.
    • Here you can change the price and quantity. Re-enter your password and click on "Modify" to make the change.

  18. How do I check my account?
    You can check the current status of your account by viewing the "Portfolio Position" under the "Portfolio" feature. Here you will find two tables: The first table "Account Information" shows your current stock inventory, while the second table "Purchase Power" displays the current status of cash in your account. In the "Account Information" table, you will find all the information regarding the shares in your portfolio, such as company name, number of shares, and number of shares outstanding for sale, average cost, last price on the market, purchase cost, market value, and unrealized gain/loss. In the "Purchase Power" table, you will find all the information regarding your EIS account. This table displays the settlement account number, the cash amount, the block amount, the outstanding buy orders amount, and the purchasing power.

  19. How can I learn more about account security?
    The security of your transactions and personal information is our top priority. All messages between your PC and EIS are scrambled. As a further security precaution, your secure online sessions will be automatically terminated when the service detects no activity for a preset period to help protect you against unauthorized access. You can verify the last login date and time after your successful login. In case of any compromise of your password, please change it immediately.   20. What are the commissions on trades?
    There are no additional charges for opening or maintaining the online trading account. The same commission per executed trade applies. The commission is calculated by multiplying the Dirham value of the trade by 0.275% plus AED 10, subject to a minimum charge of AED 75.   21. How do I change the language?
    You can change the language format of the site by using the "Settings" feature on the main page and then clicking on "Personal". On the Personal Settings page, you will see the "Language" option.

  22. What is the 'Order Search' feature?
    The "Order Search" feature under "Trading" is used to find an order which has been executed earlier. You can search for an order by entering either the order number or symbol of the company. If you enter the order number, then that order will show on the table. When searching by symbol, you can narrow the search down by selecting a specific order type and order status. Once you have selected your option, you need to select the date when the order took place.

  23. What is the 'Trading Summary' feature?
    This feature, located under the "Trading" option, is used to get an online transaction history statement. You have the choice of selecting to show the history of all products, or you can specify which product statement you wish to view. You need to specify the dates for the statement, with a limit of 60 days. After choosing the dates, the statement will open in a new screen. The information included in this statement is Order Number, Transaction Date, Product, Transaction type, Quantity, Price, Commission, Total Sell, and Total Buy.

  24. How can I check the current market rates?
    You can check the market rates by using 'Market Monitoring', located under the 'Market' feature. Here you can see all the companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market, Abu Dhabi Securities Market, and NASDAQ Dubai. The rates are live when the markets are open. You can also create your own personal watch list. This can be done by using the 'My Watch list' feature located under the "Setting" option. In order to create a personalized watch list, click on the "Add New List" link. Once there, select which products you would like to add from the list on the left and click on the add button. When you have chosen the desired products, you will need to name the watch list and then click on the 'Save' button. You can view your newly created watch list in the 'Trading Console' or 'Market Monitoring' features by selecting it from the filter option.
